What is the difference between a Residential Care Apartment Complex a (RCAC) and Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRF’s)?
A person in a Residential Care Apartment Complex (like Riverside Terrace) can receive more extensive nursing care and can age in place (i.e. he or she will be less likely to have to eventually transfer to a nursing home.) The State of Wisconsin developed regulations governing Residential Care Apartment Complexes to allow people to have more extensive care in a less restrictive environment than a Community Based Residential Facility can provide.
How large are the apartments?
Riverside Terrace Assisted Living apartments range in size from 477 to 1023 square feet, including two bedroom/two bath apartments.
